Your Money or Your Life or...um...er...your other life?
This was an interesting question asked at a business interview:
"If a person with Multiple Personality Disorder threatens to take his(/her) own life, should it be considered as a suicide case or a hostage situation?"
And no, it wasn't an interview for a psychologist.

funny, for a second... but then sad too!
I agree, but imagine when this really happens...it must be really confusing for the authorities if the victim and the perpetrator are one and the same.
That would depend on the person's awareness of the various personalities co-exisiting within himself due to absence of unity of consciousness. Interesting situation, but I'd hate to imagine or see anyone in it.
hostage situation???
If he is going to tke another life, thats culpable homicide....
And it is always a suicide...
MPD isnt as drastic as the movies portray
The main personality is the dimniant one......
I said threaten. Anyway, there have been reports of similar (though less drastic of course) incidents. After all, the worst case is with 64 personalities. Who's to say which is the main one?
what he was born with....
Multi faceted personalities are more often than not triggered emotionally and psycologically
